COUNSELLING THAT IS PRACTICAL AND SUPPORTIVE

-- Book Your Free Consultation Today --

Managing the physical and emotional stress that comes with life can be overwhelming.

Each day you wake up and face a laundry list of challenges with family, work, school, physical and mental stresses, not to mention the many battles that go on in your head as you try to manage all that life throws your way. It’s hard work and sometimes it can feel like there is just too much going on.

Counselling is a space dedicated for you to regroup and focus on the things that matter to you the most. A time to pause, organize your thoughts and feelings, and find a path to move towards the life you want to live.

A little bit about me

My Background

My name is Nate Meidinger and I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) practicing virtually in Ontario, Alberta, Yukon and Northwest Territories. I completed my Bachelors (2016) and Masters of Social Work (2017) from King’s University College at Western and throughout the past 8 years have worked in both clinical and community based settings, including 2 Family Health Teams, at King’s University College, and in full-time private practice. I have experience and specialization working with life transitions, stress, anxiety, and burnout, sleep difficulties, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and emotion regulation.

I am trained in several models of therapy including EMDR, IFS and CBT. My practice works primarily with individuals ages 16 years and older.

Common Challenges

The list below highlights some common challenges and areas of specialization in my practice. Each individual’s treatment and support plan is made unique to the individual. I know your time, money and energy are valuable, and, for many, the decision to begin therapy has come after weeks, months or even years of navigating challenges on your own. With this in mind, I strive to create a supportive, collaborative and comfortable environment where you can explore the concerns that matter to you most.
